Let Virginia City lift your spirits this holiday season and Believe Again in the magic of Christmas with two weekends of events along with other events in December.
Take a step back to simpler times as the town transforms with holiday lights, local shops decorated to the hilt and cheery folks welcoming families for a fun-filled holiday.
Festivities include the Believe Again Christmas Challenge shopping spree, two weekends of Parade of Lights followed by a Magical Christmas Fireworks Show, the fun-filled Candy Cane Express and the evening Train O’Lights, a saloon crawl, holiday artisan craft fair at St. Mary’s Art Center and more!

Believe Again – A Christmas Shopping Giveaway, Dec. 1 – 18
Plan your holiday shopping at one of Virginia City’s many unique stores! Shop ‘til you drop, stay the night, eat at a restaurant, visit an attraction or enjoy a cold one and you could win. Visit Virginia City is giving away 10, $100 gifts. Simply show your receipts at the Visitors Center and for every $10 spent in town, receive one raffle ticket. The more you spend in town between Dec. 1 and Dec. 18, the more chances to win.
Winners announced on Dec. 19.
Visitor Center hours are: Monday to Saturday from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Train O’ Lights
The V&T Railroad Train O’Lights is a magical evening train ride on the Virginia & Truckee Railroad steam train with thousands and thousands of lights shining brightly through the dark skies. With bright Christmas lights bouncing off the train’s steam, it creates a powerful and enchanted visual that won’t soon be forgotten.
