The Visitors Center is the place to plan your trip with discounts offered to many local attractions through our Comstock Adventure Pass.

A Comstock Adventure Pass is a chance to embrace the history that fills our museums, experience a mine tour, explore our historic buildings, take a ride on the famous Virginia & Truckee Railroad and so much more… all at a discounted price!

Choose from a number of exciting attractions and get a discount when you pick three or more. Learn more about all our attractions here.

Hours:

9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Saturday
10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday

Pricing and Restrictions

PRICES AND AVAILABILITY OF ATTRACTIONS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.

Child pricing is for ages 5 to 12 (except where noted). Ages 4 and under are free.

Since some attractions close for the season starting in October through spring, some attractions may not be available.

Purchased tickets do not have to be used on the day of purchase. Some purchased tickets require you to visit the attraction or tour to make arrangements to join a regularly scheduled tour.

Admission is free to the following attractions however a donation is recommended; hours vary:

Liberty Engine Company No 1-Comstock Firemen’s Museum

St. Mary in the Mountains Catholic Church & Museum

Bats in the Belfry Ghost Tours (June-October)
By Reservation only. Make advance reservations here. Pay for ticket at the Visitors Center during regular business hours.

Virginia City Outlaws Wild West Comedy Show (May-October) 

Ponderosa Mine Tour (open year-round)
Ticket is good for the regularly scheduled tour; arrange your tour directly with the Ponderosa Mine Tour representative.

Historic Fourth Ward School & Museum (May-December) 

The Way It Was Museum (open year-round)

Piper’s Opera House Haunted History Tour (open year-round)

Comstock Gold Mill (May-October) 

Chollar Mine Tour (open year-round, with exceptions for weather)

Mackay Mansion Haunted History Tour (open year-round)
Ticket is good for the regularly scheduled tour; arrange tour directly with the Mackay Mansion representative.

Haunted Washoe Club & Museum (open year-round)
Ticket is good for the regularly scheduled tour; arrange tour directly with the Washoe Club representative.

St. Mary’s Art Center (Easter – mid December) 
Ticket must be booked here and are subject to availability. Check calendar of events here.

Virginia & Truckee Railroad (May – October) 
Ticket is good for the regularly scheduled train schedule; view the train schedule here.
