UPDATE, JUNE 26, 2020: While we were excited to celebrate the region’s Hispanic heritage with Dia de la Fiesta, it is clear that doing so is becoming a challenge especially in regard to making plans and adhering to current guidelines. With that we are postponing the event and will look to the 2021 calendar for possible plans. We encourage you to continue to visit Virginia City, our merchant shops, museums and restaurants while following current Phase 2 guidelines.
Virginia City’s Día de la Fiesta, set for August 22, 2020, is a day to celebrate Hispanic heritage on the Comstock. The fiesta is a fun-filled day of music, dancing, food and fun throughout our historic mining town. Live Hispanic music and mariachis will be heard at several different locations in town including the Ponderosa Saloon, Red Dog Saloon, Firehouse Grill and Piper’s Opera House.
This is a free event and all are welcome to attend.
