Sgt. Major Bryan Staples, a retired military man, formerly of the Department of the Pacific, Federal Battalion, operations consultant, and longtime Civil War reenactor will present about the Paiute War of 1860 at the Gold Hill Hotel’s Lecture Series Event on May 18th.
This is the first of a 4 part war history series concluding with the epic history of Captain Edward Storey.

Staples, the former owner of Sergeant-Major’s Silver Dollar Saloon in Virginia City, has been involved in Civil War reenactments in Northern Nevada for many years. Now that he is retired, he can be found in full uniform most weekends on C Street sharing stories with visitors.

The lecture starts at 7:00 p.m. and the cost is $10 per person.
Arrive early to enjoy dinner before the lecture. Gold Hill serves dinner before the lecture at 4:30, 5, and 5:30 p.m.
